CONSULTATION AND DESIGN

Green Edens is here to help bring your garden ideas to life! This is what you can expect as we work together:

  1. Start by scheduling a free 30-minute consultation.  We'll meet with you at your home to tour your property and discuss your ideas. During the consultation, the important first step is to examine the factors that will affect how your garden will grow. This includes: how much sunlight or shade the different areas of your property receive, soil conditions, areas that receive more wind, problems with drainage, access to water, foot traffic patterns, the health of your existing plants, which existing plants you want to keep and what you want to remove, and how the space is to be used.

We'll listen to your concerns and provide thoughts on how we could overcome any challenges, such as poor soil, poor drainage, etc. Many homeowners view shady areas as a problem, but we don't, as there are so many kinds of beautiful plants and shrubs that thrive in shade!

We'll also take your budget into consideration and  discuss how we could implement your design in phases, if desired.  We'll take photos of the property for reference and then provide you with a follow-up email outlining our design options.

  2. Once you choose a design option and pay the design fee, the fun will begin! We'll ask questions about what you like (or don't like) in terms of colors, shapes, specific plants and other considerations. We'll then propose a list of plants, shrubs and trees that will thrive in your garden. Once you finalize your plant selections, we'll then create a digital design plan that shows the layout of your new garden, and you'll have the opportunity to provide feedback.

  3. When the design plan is approved, we'll provide an itemized estimate detailing the labor and material costs to complete the project.

  4. After you approve the estimate, you'll receive a contract and deposit invoice, and once we receive your contract and deposit, we'll add you to our installation schedule.

What Our Clients Are Saying

We had some gardening experience but knew we were out of our league with this one – a bleak area with limited sun right outside of our panoramic windows. A friend told us about Green Edens. They gladly took on our challenge and planted the most charming garden you would ever want to see! The birds and the butterflies have agreed.  Native, perennial species have brought hardiness and easy maintenance to the situation. Our yard is now so delightful that we are talking about putting a bench out there just to sit and enjoy the peaceful environment."
