GARDEN INSTALLATION
A new landscape installation is a creative process and a big investment for any homeowner There are many steps and variables involved when creating a new outdoor space. Every project starts with a design. The design plan includes all of the detail necessary to ensure that your new trees, shrubs and perennials are installed correctly and helps to streamline the overall installation process. Depending on the size of your property and your budget, landscape installation projects can be tailored to fit your needs. Learn more about our design process.
Before we begin installing your new plants, the first step is to prepare the garden for planting. This can include debris removal, tree, shrub, and plant removal, hardscape installation, drainage, grading of the existing soil, amending the soil and shaping of the garden beds. Once the prep work is done, we'll ensure that all of your new trees, shrubs and perennials are placed in the correct spot per the approved design plan. After the garden is installed, we'll finish it by applying a layer of mulch, setting up any drip lines, sprinklers or watering bags and hauling away the debris. Once the installation is complete, you will receive detailed watering instructions. You may want to hire a maintenance company to protect your investment and ensure the health of your garden year-round. The money, time and creativity that is put into your landscaping project should be cared for with proper pest management, proper irrigation, proper pruning, and keeping your garden weed-free. It takes 3 years for plants to fully fill in, so leaf mulch should be installed each spring through year 3. This helps to add organic matter, keep the weeds at bay, keep the roots of your new plants shaded and helps the soil to retain moisture. These practices will help to ensure that your garden will thrive in all the years to come. Green Edens does not provide maintenance services, but our excellent installation crew can be directly contracted for ongoing maintenance as well as spring and fall clean-ups.
